about

Biography

In 2002, I graduated from James Madison University with a BFA/concentration in Graphic Design and started working as a print designer in the Washington, DC area. Although the work wasn't always glamorous, the experiences were invaluable in shaping and developing my skills as a typographer and visual artist. I also became fascinated with alternative printing methods and started taking courses in screen printing and letterpress printing. During my free time, I collaborated with different designers and artists hand printing posters and artwork for bands, events, and worthy causes. In 2007 while at Fuszion Collaborative in Alexandria, VA, I decided to leave the studio life and move to Charlottesville, VA to start freelancing as a designer and illustrator. I have designed and developed corporate identities, websites, stationary systems, annual reports, brochures, posters, media kits, ad campaigns, environmental design systems, and product packaging.
